Since the term steward-ownership was initially coined by the Purpose Group in 2015, it has evolved from a relatively unknown niche concept to a lived reality that is gaining traction among entrepreneurs, capital providers and investors worldwide. Yet, lack of information and narratives, complex legal implementation and particularly the lack of aligned capital present major obstacles on the path towards steward-ownership for entrepreneurs and investors alike.The SOFIN comes in at the third hill: to tackle the challenge of finding aligned capital and co-investors.
Founded in 2025 it offers the first network of its kind that is fully dedicated towards steward-ownership aligned financing and serves as a community space that stakeholders can join at no cost. It is hosted by Purpose Ventures who are one of the forerunners of bringing SO-aligned investments into life.
