Wow – ten years already. A decade ago, we founded Purpose, dedicating our work and passion to the topic of steward-ownership. And just a few days from now, we’ll be sharing something special with you. Not because we’re celebrating the anniversary, but because now feels like exactly the right time.
Over the past decade, steward-ownership has grown from a relatively underrecognized concept into a key topic in the global conversation about the future of business and the economy. A whole global movement around the idea evolved.
All of these organisations and people share a specific core mission: making steward-ownership more accessible. Overcoming the hurdles. Because there are still so many out there who’ve never heard of the matter. Or who lack the means to implement it. Or who are still searching for the right financing models. We do know: it’s quite a journey.
Steward-ownership isn’t a plug-and-play solution. It touches on some of the most complex questions in business (and, frankly, in life): ownership, power, financing, legacy, purpose. In 10 years, we’ve learned an incredible amount – and we continue learning every single day. It feels like for every answer we find, five new questions pop up. But that’s part of what makes this work so meaningful – and so much fun!
For a long time now, we’ve been sharing our knowledge, experiences, resources, stories, and more. But we’re convinced: we can do this even better š That’s why we’ve decided to create a new home:
A new digital space where many threads come together. A space where we’ll share hands-on tools, real-world stories, and learning content. Not polished and perfect. But alive. Evolving. Accessible. For anyone exploring steward-ownership, whether it’s out of curiosity, conviction or necessity.
